Zopiclone 10mg

Zopiclone 10mg is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic indicated for the short-term management of insomnia. It acts on GABA-A receptors to reduce sleep latency and increase sleep duration. The 10mg formulation is typically reserved for patients where 7.5mg has proven insufficient.

Dosage & Administration One tablet (10mg) taken orally, 30 minutes before bedtime. The recommended course is 2–4 weeks. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

Indications Short-term treatment of insomnia, including difficulties with sleep onset, sleep maintenance, and early-morning awakening.

Contraindications Not suitable for patients with myasthenia gravis, severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnoea syndrome, or severe hepatic impairment. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side Effects May include bitter or metallic taste, dry mouth, drowsiness, and dizziness. Risk of tolerance and dependence increases with prolonged use. Avoid alcohol and operating heavy machinery.

Storage Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
