Temazepam 20mg

Temazepam 20mg is an intermediate-acting benzodiazepine hypnotic indicated for the short-term management of insomnia. It acts by enhancing GABA-A receptor activity, reducing sleep latency and increasing total sleep time.

Dosage & Administration One tablet (20mg) taken orally, 30 minutes before bedtime. Treatment should be limited to 2–4 weeks. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Indications Short-term treatment of insomnia, particularly sleep onset insomnia and sleep maintenance difficulties.

Contraindications Not suitable for patients with myasthenia gravis, severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnoea syndrome, or severe hepatic impairment. Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Side Effects May include daytime drowsiness, dizziness, and impaired coordination. Risk of tolerance, dependence, and rebound insomnia with prolonged use.

Storage Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
