Alprazolam (Xanax) 1mg

Alprazolam 1mg is a short-acting benzodiazepine primarily indicated for the treatment of generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) and panic disorder. It acts on GABA-A receptors in the central nervous system to produce rapid anxiolytic and sedative effects.

Dosage & Administration For anxiety: 0.25–0.5mg taken 3 times daily. For panic disorder: up to 1mg taken 3 times daily as directed. Take orally with or without food.

Indications Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, and short-term symptomatic relief of anxiety.

Contraindications Not suitable for patients with acute narrow-angle glaucoma, severe respiratory insufficiency, or myasthenia gravis. Use with extreme caution in patients with a history of substance dependence.

Side Effects May include sedation, dizziness, impaired coordination, and memory disturbances. High potential for dependence; recommended for short-term use only. Withdrawal must be tapered gradually.

Storage Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
