Diazepam 10mg

Diazepam 10mg is a long-acting benzodiazepine with anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, and sedative properties. It potentiates GABA activity in the central nervous system and is widely used across a range of clinical indications.

Dosage & Administration Dosage is individualised based on indication. For anxiety: 2–10mg taken 2–4 times daily. For muscle spasm: 5–10mg taken 3 times daily. For alcohol withdrawal: as directed by a physician. Take orally with or without food.

Indications Anxiety disorders, muscle spasm, alcohol withdrawal, and adjunctive treatment of epilepsy and seizures.

Contraindications Not suitable for patients with severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnoea, severe hepatic impairment, or myasthenia gravis. Avoid in pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Side Effects May include sedation, muscle weakness, coordination difficulties, and memory impairment. Risk of dependence with prolonged use; withdrawal should be gradual.

Storage Store below 25°C, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
